Tenofovir Side Effects Report #4745614-4
Tenofovir side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from BRAZIL on July 27, 2005. Female patient, 43 years of age, weighting 92.59 lb, was diagnosed with hiv test positive  and was treated with Tenofovir. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain , anaemia, anuria, aphasia , ascites, asthenia, catheter site infection, decreased appetite, diarrhoea. Tenofovir dosage: 300 MG, 1 IN 1 D, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with CAPRAVIRINE, LAMIVUDINE, DIDANOSINE, KALETRA, THEOPHYLLINE, VITAMINS, METFORMIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 01/21/2005.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal infection, abdominal pain , aspiration, blood pressure diastolic decreased, blood sodium decreased, blood urea decreased, cachexia, central nervous system infection. Tenofovir dosage: 300/200 MG DAILY ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with LOPINAVIR AND RITONAVIR, NEVIRAPINE, COTRIMAXOZOLE, ISONIAZID. Patient died on 02/15/2008.

Patient died on 07/30/2007.
