Synercid side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from on May 27, 2005. Female patient, 63 years of age, weighting 138.9 lb, was diagnosed with enterococcal infection and was treated with Synercid. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood bilirubin increased, hepatic failure, liver function test abnormal. Synercid dosage: 450 MG Q8H INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with AMIKACIN, AMPHOTERICIN B BLADDER WASHES, CEFEPIME, IMIPENEM, VORICONAZOLE. Patient died on 02/24/2005.
