Sulfamethoxazole side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from UNITED STATES on June 14, 2007. Female patient, 69 years of age, was diagnosed with urinary tract infection  and was treated with Sulfamethoxazole. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anaphylactic reaction, clostridium difficile colitis, confusional state, dehydration, dialysis , dyspnoea, fatigue, hypotension, large intestine perforation. Sulfamethoxazole dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with AMOXICILLIN, GENTAMICIN, CIPRO. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 03/29/2006.
