Sulfadiazine side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from AUSTRALIA on Aug 23, 2006. Male patient, 48 years of age, was diagnosed with toxoplasmosis, pneumocystis jiroveci infection and was treated with Sulfadiazine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: crystalluria, haematuria, renal failure acute. Sulfadiazine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with BACTRIM, PYRIMETHAMINE, ENOXAPARIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Sulfadiazine side effect was reported by a Physician from FRANCE on Feb 22, 2006. Female patient, 61 years of age, was diagnosed with pyoderma gangrenosum and was treated with Sulfadiazine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: depressed level of consciousness, haemodialysis, leukopenia, metal poisoning, nephropathy toxic, neutropenia, pulmonary oedema, renal failure acute. Sulfadiazine dosage: 200 MG, QD, TOPICAL. During the same period patient was treated with CORTICOSTEROIDS. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
