Sulfadiazine side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from UNITED STATES on Nov 28, 2007. Female patient, 54 years of age, weighting 190.0 lb, was diagnosed with toxoplasmosis and was treated with Sulfadiazine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: asthenia, back pain , emotional distress, fall , head injury, pyrexia, spinal fracture, urticaria. Sulfadiazine dosage: 500 MG, QID2SDO, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with LEUCOVORIN CALCIUM, DARAPRIM, ZOCOR, LEVOTHYROXINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Male patient, 43 years of age, weighting 119.9 lb, was diagnosed with cerebral toxoplasmosis and was treated with Sulfadiazine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: excoriation, pain , stevens-johnson syndrome, tremor. Sulfadiazine dosage: 1000 MG EVERY 6 HOURS PO. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: back pain , blood test abnormal, fall , head injury, influenza, pneumonia , rash , thoracic vertebral fracture. Sulfadiazine dosage: 2 - 500 MG PILL 4 X'AS PER DAY FOR 6 WEEKS. During the same period patient was treated with DARAPRINE, LEUCOVOR, SIMVASTATIN, LEVOTHROID. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
