Female patient, 31 years of age, weighting 162.7 lb, was diagnosed with upper respiratory tract infection and was treated with Sudafed. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cardiac failure, cardiomyopathy , dizziness , dyspnoea, fatigue, hyperglycaemia, hyperhidrosis, hypertension, metabolic acidosis. Sudafed dosage: ESTIMATE MAXIMUM 90.0 MG/D, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with NYQUIL, LOESTRIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.
