Succinylcholine side effect was reported by a Health Professional from UNITED STATES on July 25, 2006. Female patient, 90 years of age, weighting 170.0 lb, was diagnosed with intubation, respiratory failure and was treated with Succinylcholine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: infusion related reaction, muscle rigidity. Succinylcholine dosage: 100 MG X1 IV. During the same period patient was treated with SUCCINYLCHOLINE CHLORIDE, VERSED, OXYGEN. Patient recovered.

Male patient, child 12 years of age, weighting 123.0 lb, was diagnosed with induction of anaesthesia and was treated with Succinylcholine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood creatine phosphokinase increased, chromaturia, haematocrit decreased, haemoglobin decreased, hyperthermia malignant, infusion related reaction, mean arterial pressure increased, metabolic acidosis, muscle rigidity. Succinylcholine dosage: 1 MG/KG. During the same period patient was treated with SEVOFLURANE, SALMETEROL, ACETAMINOPHEN, HYDROXYZINE, DOCUSATE, ASCORBIC ACID. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
