Succinylcholine side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Oct 01, 2008. Male patient, 61 years of age, was diagnosed with anaesthesia and was treated with Succinylcholine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood creatine phosphokinase increased, blood glucose increased, blood ph decreased, blood potassium increased, heart rate increased, hyperthermia malignant, hypoglycaemia, hypotension, mental status changes. Succinylcholine dosage: unknown. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood creatine phosphokinase increased, facial palsy, muscle contractions involuntary, myalgia. Succinylcholine dosage: 150 MG. During the same period patient was treated with MIDAZOLAM, PROPOFOL, FENTANYL, VECURONIUM, REMIFENTANIL, OXYGEN. Patient recovered.

Male patient, child 12 years of age, weighting 123.0 lb, was diagnosed with induction of anaesthesia and was treated with Succinylcholine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood creatine phosphokinase increased, chromaturia, haematocrit decreased, haemoglobin decreased, hyperthermia malignant, infusion related reaction, mean arterial pressure increased, metabolic acidosis, muscle rigidity. Succinylcholine dosage: 1 MG/KG. During the same period patient was treated with SEVOFLURANE, SALMETEROL, ACETAMINOPHEN, HYDROXYZINE, DOCUSATE, ASCORBIC ACID. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
