Steroids side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from on Mar 16, 2005. Male patient, child 2 years of age, was diagnosed with aplastic anaemia and was treated with Steroids. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood beta-d-glucan increased, epstein-barr virus infection, lymphoproliferative disorder, pneumocystis jiroveci pneumonia, serum sickness. Steroids dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with CYCLOSPORINE. Patient died on 08/28/2004.

Female patient, 74 years of age, weighting 110.2 lb, was diagnosed with infection , interstitial lung disease and was treated with Steroids. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: alanine aminotransferase increased, aspartate aminotransferase increased, blood beta-d-glucan increased, blood bilirubin increased, blood creatinine increased, blood lactate dehydrogenase increased, dehydration, fungal infection , gamma-glutamyltransferase increased. Steroids dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with VORICONAZOLE, NEORAL. Patient recovered.
