Stavudine Side Effects Report #4908287-3
Stavudine side effect was reported by a Health Professional from SOUTH AFRICA on Feb 09, 2006. Male patient, 54 years of age, was diagnosed with hiv infection  and was treated with Stavudine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: diarrhoea, dysuria, gingival pain, hepatotoxicity, oral candidiasis, pain in extremity, pneumonia , pulmonary tuberculosis, renal failure. Stavudine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with LAMIVUDINE, NEVIRAPINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 10/11/2005.

During the same period patient was treated with EFAVIRENZ, LAMIVUDINE, RIFAMPICIN, ISONIAZID. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 06/05/2006.

Stavudine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with LAMIVUDINE, LOPINAVIR, RITONAVIR, FLUCONAZOLE, ATOVAQUONE. Patient recovered.
