Stavudine Side Effects Report #5092619-2
Stavudine side effect was reported by a Health Professional from CANADA on Aug 21, 2006. Female patient, 47 years of age, was diagnosed with hiv infection  and was treated with Stavudine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: hepatic failure, hepatic steatosis, lactic acidosis, mitochondrial dna depletion. Stavudine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with DIDANOSINE, NEVIRAPINE, BENZATROPINE, LOXAPINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.

During the same period patient was treated with DIDANOSINE, LAMIVUDINE, ABACAVIR, TENOFOVIR. Patient died.

Stavudine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with LAMIVUDINE, LOPINAVIR, RITONAVIR, FLUCONAZOLE, ATOVAQUONE. Patient recovered.
