Stavudine side effect was reported by a Health Professional from UNITED STATES on Oct 20, 2008. Male patient, 51 years of age, was diagnosed with hiv infection  and was treated with Stavudine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: gastrointestinal disorder, hepatic cirrhosis, hepatic steatosis, oesophageal varices haemorrhage, portal hypertension, thrombocytopenia. Stavudine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with DIDANOSINE. Patient recovered.
