Stavudine Side Effects Report #4766993-8
Stavudine side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on Sept 09, 2005. Male patient, 46 years of age, weighting 210.0 lb, was diagnosed with hiv infection  and was treated with Stavudine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anorexia, arthralgia, back pain , cough, difficulty in walking, dizziness , dyspnoea, hypersensitivity, impaired work ability. Stavudine dosage: 40 MG BID PO. During the same period patient was treated with TRUVADA, LEXIVA, INVIRASE, NORVIR, COLCHICINE. Patient recovered.

During the same period patient was treated with EFAVIRENZ, LAMIVUDINE. Patient died on 07/18/2005.

Stavudine dosage: 40 MG BID PO. During the same period patient was treated with EFAVIRENZ, LAMIVUDINE, BACTRIM, FLUCONAZOLE, RIFAFOUR, VITAMIN B6. Patient died on 09/28/2005.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anaemia, aplasia pure red cell, bicytopenia, breath sounds abnormal, dyspnoea, headache , hyperplasia, malaise, musculoskeletal stiffness. Stavudine dosage: 30 MG, PO. During the same period patient was treated with LAMIVUDINE, EFAVIRENZ. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
