Spironolactone side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Aug 10, 2005. Male patient, 82 years of age, weighting 289.2 lb, was diagnosed with hypertension and was treated with Spironolactone. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood pressure decreased, dyspnoea exertional, electrocardiogram t wave peaked, fatigue, hydronephrosis, hyperkalaemia, oedema peripheral, renal failure acute. Spironolactone dosage: 2.5MG PO Q DAY. During the same period patient was treated with LISINOPRIL, CLONAZEPAM, COUMADIN, CARVEDILOL, HYDRALAZINE, ALLOPURINOL, VITAMIN E, PREDNISONE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
