Simethicone and cerebrovascular accident Patient Reports February 10, 2012

Simethicone side effect was reported by a Physician from TAIWAN, PROVINCE OF CHINA on Aug 08, 2007. Female patient, 71 years of age, weighting 134.5 lb, was diagnosed with constipation , gastric ulcer, hypertension, hyperlipidaemia, type 2 diabetes mellitus, irritable bowel syndrome  and was treated with Simethicone. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: aphasia , cerebrovascular accident, hyperglycaemia, hyperosmolar state, monoplegia, muscular weakness, mutism. Simethicone dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with MAGNESIUM OXIDE, PANTOPRAZOLE, METOCLOPRAMIDE, ISRADIPINE, FENOFIBRATE, INSULIN, PRAVASTATIN, ZELNORM. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
