Sibutramine and cardiac arrest Patient Reports February 10, 2012

Sibutramine Side Effects Report #4973855-X
Sibutramine side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from NEW ZEALAND on Oct 08, 1998. Female patient, weighting 251.3 lb, was diagnosed with weight control , gastrooesophageal reflux disease, mineral supplementation and was treated with Sibutramine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cardiac arrest , coma, nausea , pneumonia , syncope, torsade de pointes, ventricular fibrillation. Sibutramine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with PROPULSID, PRILOSEC, POTASSIUM, LASIX. Patient was hospitalized and became disabled. Patient died on 10/30/1998.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain upper, aortic dilatation, aortic rupture, cardiac arrest , cardiac tamponade, chest pain , connective tissue disorder , diffuse vasculitis, dyspnoea. Sibutramine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with AZITHROMYCIN, CEFACLOR, CLARITHROMYCIN, PREDNISOLONE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 10/20/2006.
