Saquinavir Side Effects Report #4783336-4
Saquinavir side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on Sept 19, 2005. Male patient, 52 years of age, was diagnosed with hiv infection , acquired immunodeficiency syndrome, mycobacterium avium complex infection and was treated with Saquinavir. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abscess , alanine aminotransferase increased, aspartate aminotransferase increased, blood glucose increased, blood lactate dehydrogenase increased, blood triglycerides increased, cholecystitis, cholelithiasis, hepatic function abnormal. Saquinavir dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with NELFINAVIR, STAVUDINE, EFAVIRENZ, LAMIVUDINE, RITONAVIR, CLARITHROMYCIN, ETHAMBUTOL, ACYCLOVIR. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: aspartate aminotransferase increased, blood alkaline phosphatase increased, blood lactate dehydrogenase increased, blood triglycerides increased, gamma-glutamyltransferase increased, liver function test abnormal, osteonecrosis , platelet count decreased, pneumonia . Saquinavir dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with NORVIR, VIDEX. Patient recovered.
