Salbutamol side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from on May 26, 2006. Male patient, 68 years of age, was diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, condition aggravated and was treated with Salbutamol. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: hypercapnia, oxygen saturation decreased, pseudomonas infection. Salbutamol dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with IPRATROPIUM BROMIDE, IPRATROPIUM BROMIDE, MORPHINE, DEXAMETHASONE, FLUTICASONE PROPIONATE. Patient recovered.

Female patient, child 6 years of age, was diagnosed with asthma  and was treated with Salbutamol. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: bronchospasm, cardiac arrest , dyspnoea, hypercapnia, metabolic acidosis, mydriasis, pupillary disorder, respiratory acidosis. Salbutamol dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with FLUTICASONE PROPIONATE. Patient died.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: breath sounds abnormal, cardiac arrest , chest x-ray abnormal, fall , hypercapnia, lung hyperinflation, metabolic acidosis, oxygen saturation decreased, pupil fixed. Salbutamol dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with FLUTICASONE PROPIONATE. Patient died.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: dyspnoea, hypercapnia, lactic acidosis, respiratory acidosis, respiratory failure, wheezing. Salbutamol dosage: RESPIRATORY (INHALATION); 5 MG FIVE TIMES DAILY RESPIRTORY (INHALATION); 250 MICROGRAMS INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with PREDNISOLONE, AMOXICILLIN, IPRATROPIUM BROMIDE, HYDROCORTISONE, MAGNESIUM SULPHATE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
