Saizen side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from UNITED STATES on Mar 06, 2008. Female patient, 53 years of age, was diagnosed with growth hormone deficiency and was treated with Saizen. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: craniopharyngioma, disease recurrence, intracranial hypotension, malaise, nausea , pneumonia aspiration, pyrexia, rhinorrhoea. Saizen dosage: 0.35 MG. During the same period patient was treated with CORTEF, LEVOXYL, LIPITOR, TRICOR. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Female patient, child 5 years of age, was diagnosed with growth hormone deficiency and was treated with Saizen. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: acute hepatic failure, coagulopathy, coma, convulsion, encephalopathy, hypoglycaemia, lethargy, malaise, mitochondrial hepatopathy. Saizen dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with VALPROATE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 10/21/2007.

Saizen dosage: 1.1 MG, 1 IN 1 DAYS, SUBCUTANEOUS. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
