Ropivacaine Side Effects Report #5232376-X
Ropivacaine side effect was reported by a Health Professional from JAPAN on Jan 22, 2007. Male patient, 69 years of age, was diagnosed with epidural anaesthesia, sedation and was treated with Ropivacaine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: agitation, cardiac arrest , catheter related complication, depressed level of consciousness, post procedural complication, restlessness. Ropivacaine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with FENTANET, HALOPERIDOL, CLONAZEPAM, PHENYTOIN, PHENOBARBITAL, ANNACA. Patient died.

Ropivacaine side effect was reported by a Health Professional from JAPAN on July 12, 2006. Female patient, 57 years of age, weighting 88.18 lb, was treated with Ropivacaine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: post procedural complication, respiratory arrest. Ropivacaine dosage: 1.5 ML/HR UNK. During the same period patient was treated with MEPIVACAINE, FENTANYL TRANSDERMAL SYSTEM, PROPOFOL, LIDOCAINE, FAMOTIDINE, PENTAGIN. Patient recovered.
