Ropivacaine Side Effects Report #5879622-7
Ropivacaine side effect was reported by a Physician from CHINA on Sept 03, 2008. Male patient, 26 years of age, weighting 132.3 lb, was diagnosed with surgery  and was treated with Ropivacaine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood pressure decreased, dysphoria, heart rate increased, hypoaesthesia oral, increased upper airway secretion, oedema peripheral, oxygen saturation decreased, sensation of foreign body. Ropivacaine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with PHENOBARBITAL, ATROPINE. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 79 years of age, weighting 123.5 lb, was diagnosed with epidural anaesthesia and was treated with Ropivacaine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood pressure systolic increased, electromechanical dissociation, heart rate increased, loss of consciousness, orthostatic hypotension. Ropivacaine dosage: 120 MG OVER A 24 HOUR PERIOD (12 ML), EPIDURAL. During the same period patient was treated with XYLOCAINE WITH EPINEPHRINE. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 67 years of age, was diagnosed with epidural anaesthesia, musculoskeletal chest pain, x-ray , sedation and was treated with Ropivacaine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood pressure increased, heart rate increased, paraplegia, spinal cord infarction. Ropivacaine dosage: 1ML OF 1% SOLUTION. During the same period patient was treated with TRIAMCINOLONE ACETONIDE, ISOVUE, MIDAZOLAM, FENTANYL. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 84 years of age, weighting 110.2 lb, was diagnosed with anaesthesia and was treated with Ropivacaine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: accidental overdose, bradycardia, cardiac arrest , dizziness , grand mal convulsion, heart rate increased, incorrect dose administered, loss of consciousness, somnolence. Ropivacaine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with MIDAZOLAM. Patient recovered.
