Ropivacaine side effect was reported by a Health Professional from PORTUGAL on Aug 08, 2007. Male patient, 71 years of age, was diagnosed with epidural anaesthesia and was treated with Ropivacaine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cardiac failure, depressed level of consciousness, dilatation ventricular, haemodynamic instability, left atrial dilatation, metabolic acidosis, oliguria, respiratory acidosis, therapeutic response increased. Ropivacaine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with MORPHINE. Patient recovered.

Male patient, 69 years of age, was diagnosed with epidural anaesthesia, sedation and was treated with Ropivacaine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: agitation, cardiac arrest What is  cardiac arrest, catheter related complication, depressed level of consciousness, post procedural complication, restlessness. Ropivacaine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with FENTANET, HALOPERIDOL, CLONAZEPAM, PHENYTOIN, PHENOBARBITAL, ANNACA. Patient died.
