Ropivacaine side effect was reported by a Health Professional from JAPAN on Jan 22, 2007. Male patient, 69 years of age, was diagnosed with epidural anaesthesia, sedation and was treated with Ropivacaine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: agitation, cardiac arrest What is  cardiac arrest, catheter related complication, depressed level of consciousness, post procedural complication, restlessness. Ropivacaine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with FENTANET, HALOPERIDOL, CLONAZEPAM, PHENYTOIN, PHENOBARBITAL, ANNACA. Patient died.

Male patient, 76 years of age, was diagnosed with analgesic effect, induction of anaesthesia and was treated with Ropivacaine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: agitation, anaesthetic complication, bronchial obstruction, conus medullaris syndrome, hypotension, motor dysfunction, respiratory distress, spinal cord ischaemia, urinary retention postoperative. Ropivacaine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with SUFENTANIL, LIDOCAINE WITH EPINEPHRINE, ETOMIDATE, PROPOFOL, ATRACURIUM BESYLATE, ISOFLURANE, EPHEDRINE SUL CAP. Patient recovered.
