Risedronate and c-reactive protein increased Patient Reports February 12, 2012

Risedronate Side Effects Report #5070017-5
Risedronate side effect was reported by a Physician from JAPAN on July 18, 2006. Female patient, 70 years of age, was diagnosed with osteoporosis prophylaxis, asthma  and was treated with Risedronate. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: c-reactive protein increased, disseminated intravascular coagulation, thrombocytopenia, white blood cell count increased. Risedronate dosage: 2.5 MG, DAILY, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with BAKUMONDOUTO, LASIX, DIGOXIN, WARFARIN, ALLOPURINOL, PROCATEROL, ONON, ISOSORBIDE DINITRATE. Patient died on 03/07/2006.

Female patient, 88 years of age, weighting 110.2 lb, was diagnosed with osteoporosis , arthritis  and was treated with Risedronate. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: arthralgia, arthritis , autonomic nervous system imbalance, blood glucose increased, c-reactive protein increased, difficulty in walking, dysstasia, immune system disorder, insomnia. Risedronate dosage: 2.5 MG DAILY, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with PREDNISONE, STARLIX, AMLODIPINE BESYLATE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Risedronate side effect was reported by a Physician from JAPAN on May 08, 2006. Male patient, 80 years of age, was diagnosed with osteoporosis  and was treated with Risedronate. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood creatine phosphokinase increased, c-reactive protein increased, chest pain , cryptogenic organizing pneumonia, diverticulum gastric, dysphagia, dyspnoea, gastric ulcer, gastritis. Risedronate dosage: 2.5 MG DAILY, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with PROCTOSEDYL, FRAMYCETIN SULPHATE, ESCULOSIDE, IDOMETHINE, MAGNESIUM OXIDE, FOIPAN, DASEN, CLEANAL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 66 years of age, was diagnosed with osteoporosis , pyrexia, cough and was treated with Risedronate. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: alanine aminotransferase increased, aspartate aminotransferase increased, blood alkaline phosphatase increased, blood creatine phosphokinase increased, body temperature increased, c-reactive protein increased, chest x-ray abnormal, cough, cryptogenic organizing pneumonia. Risedronate dosage: 2.5 MG DAILY, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with MEFENAMIC ACID, ASTHMOYLSIN, NIPOLAZIN, PRAVASTATIN, NEUROTROPIN, MENATETRENONE, SAIREI, CINAL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: alanine aminotransferase increased, aspartate aminotransferase increased, blood lactate dehydrogenase increased, c-reactive protein increased, leukopenia, platelet count decreased, pyrexia, red blood cell count decreased. Risedronate dosage: 2.5 MG DAILY, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with PREDNISONE, LORFENAMIN, MUCOSTA, SULFAMETHOXAZOLE, VITAMEDIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: activities of daily living impaired, arthralgia, c-reactive protein increased, eosinophil count decreased, myalgia, pain , paraesthesia, platelet count increased. Risedronate dosage: 2.5 MG DAILY, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with RABEPRAZOLE, CLARITH, VOLTAREN, ESANBUTOL, PREDNISOLONE, RIMACTANE, ZOLPIDEM TARTRATE. Patient recovered.
