Rilutek and increased upper airway secretion Patient Reports February 13, 2012

Rilutek Side Effects Report #4894741-X
Rilutek side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on Jan 27, 2006. Female patient was diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy  and was treated with Rilutek. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: bronchial obstruction, cardio-respiratory arrest, dyspnoea, gastroenteritis , increased upper airway secretion. Rilutek dosage: 35 MG DAILY OTHER. Patient died.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: increased upper airway secretion. Rilutek dosage: 20 MG BID. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 73 years of age, was diagnosed with motor neurone disease and was treated with Rilutek. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: dysphagia, increased upper airway secretion. Rilutek dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with ENDEP, AMOXICILLIN. Patient recovered.
