Rifaximin side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from on Nov 23, 2004. Male patient, 60 years of age, weighting 250.0 lb, was diagnosed with hepatic encephalopathy and was treated with Rifaximin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: fatigue, feeling abnormal, somnolence. Rifaximin dosage: 400MG/BID, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with PRILOSEC, CARAFATE, XANAX, NEURONTIN, LASIX, ATENOLOL. Patient recovered.
