Rifaximin Side Effects Report #5922236-0
Rifaximin side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on Oct 01, 2008. Male patient, 51 years of age, weighting 200.0 lb, was diagnosed with hepatic encephalopathy and was treated with Rifaximin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: clostridial infection, dehydration, diarrhoea, pyrexia. Rifaximin dosage: 1100 MG (550 MG, 2 IN 1 D), ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with CIPROFLOXACIN, FLAGYL, QUESTRAN, ASPIRIN, ATORVASTATIN CALCIUM, CLOPIDOGREL, LASIX, PROPRANOLOL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
