Rifampin Side Effects Report #4842520-1
Rifampin side effect was reported by a Physician from FRANCE on Nov 25, 2005. Female patient, 55 years of age, was diagnosed with tuberculin test positive, exposure to communicable disease and was treated with Rifampin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anaphylactic shock, blood creatinine increased, chills, coagulation factor v level decreased, conjunctival hyperaemia, dermatitis exfoliative, diarrhoea, disseminated intravascular coagulation, erythema. Rifampin dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with RIFAMPIN AND ISONIAZID, RIFAMPIN AND ISONIAZID, RIFAMPIN AND ISONIAZID. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anorexia, chest pain , chills, confusional state, diarrhoea, dizziness , dysgeusia, dyspepsia, hypoaesthesia. Rifampin dosage: 300MG, ONE CAP BY MOUTH. During the same period patient was treated with PREMARIN, ALPRAZOLAM, HYDROXYZINE, LEVOTHROID, LISINOPRIL AND HYDROCHLOROTHIAZIDE, OMEPRAZOLE, VIOXX. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
