Rifampicin side effect was reported by a Health Professional from NETHERLANDS on Jan 08, 2007. Female patient, 25 years of age, was diagnosed with tuberculosis of intrathoracic lymph nodes and was treated with Rifampicin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain upper, acute hepatic failure, anorexia, cytomegalovirus infection What is  cytomegalovirus infection, gastrointestinal disorder, graft complication, hepatic encephalopathy, liver transplant What is  liver transplant, portal vein thrombosis. Rifampicin dosage: 600 MG, QD, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with ISONIAZID, PYRAZINAMID, ETHAMBUTOL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
