Rifadin Side Effects Report #5127773-7
Rifadin side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from on July 18, 2006. Female patient, 78 years of age, was diagnosed with staphylococcal infection  and was treated with Rifadin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cheilitis, eosinophilia, erysipeloid, gamma-glutamyltransferase increased, platelet count decreased, pruritus, rash morbilliform, renal failure, skin exfoliation. Rifadin dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with OFLOCET, VANCOMYCIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anaemia, cerebral infarction, gastric ulcer haemorrhage, platelet count decreased, shock haemorrhagic, thrombocytopenia, white blood cell count decreased. Rifadin dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with SALAZOPYRIN, TENORMIN, NORVASC, LASIX, ISCOTIN, EBUTOL, PAXIL, DOGMATYL. Patient died on 09/06/2005.
