Rifabutin side effect was reported by a Health Professional from UNITED KINGDOM on Aug 16, 2005. Female patient, child 12 years of age, weighting 85.98 lb, was diagnosed with mycobacterial infection and was treated with Rifabutin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: arthralgia, haemoglobin decreased, lethargy, lymphocyte count decreased, lymphopenia, malaise, neutrophil count decreased, red blood cell count decreased, weight decreased. Rifabutin dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with COLOMYCIN, LACTULOSE, SENNA, VITAMIN E, VITAMIN A AND D, CREON. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Rifabutin side effect was reported by a Physician from on Dec 27, 2004. Female patient, 50 years of age, was diagnosed with ill-defined disorder and was treated with Rifabutin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: agranulocytosis, condition aggravated, haemoglobin decreased, thrombocytopenia. Rifabutin dosage: 450 MG (150 MG, TID), ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with CIPROFLOXACIN, ETHAMBUTOL DIHYDROCHLORIDE, CLARITHROMYCIN, KALETRA, STAVUDINE, LAMIVUDINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
