Rifabutin side effect was reported by a Health Professional from UNITED KINGDOM on Jan 02, 2009. Female patient was diagnosed with mycobacterium avium complex infection, pneumocystis jiroveci pneumonia, insomnia, hiv infection What is  hiv infection and was treated with Rifabutin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: asthenia, cardiac arrest What is  cardiac arrest, confusional state, hyperkalaemia, loss of consciousness, renal tubular necrosis. Rifabutin dosage: 450 MG, 1X/DAY. During the same period patient was treated with DAPSONE, DIAZEPAM, EMTRICITABINE, ETHAMBUTOL, EFAVIRENZ, CLARITHROMYCIN, BECLOMETHASONE DIPROPIONATE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
