Rasburicase side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Dec 31, 2008. Male patient, weighting 130.0 lb, was diagnosed with tumour lysis syndrome and was treated with Rasburicase. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood methaemoglobin present, blood ph increased, oxygen saturation decreased, tachypnoea, venous oxygen saturation decreased. Rasburicase dosage: 6 MG ONCE IV BOLUS. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Male patient, weighting 416.2 lb, was diagnosed with hyperuricaemia, stem cell transplant and was treated with Rasburicase. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood pressure decreased, feeling hot, infusion related reaction, oxygen saturation decreased, syncope. Rasburicase dosage: 15 MG IV X 1 DOSE. During the same period patient was treated with LEVOFLOXACIN, FLUCONAZOLE, VALACYCLOVIR, PANTOPRAZOLE, GABAPENTIN, SERTRALINE, METOLAZONE. Patient recovered.

Male patient, 58 years of age, weighting 229.3 lb, was diagnosed with blood uric acid increased, prophylaxis, tumour lysis syndrome and was treated with Rasburicase. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood creatinine increased, dyspnoea, methaemoglobinaemia, oxygen saturation decreased, po2 increased, tumour lysis syndrome. Rasburicase dosage: 15MG Q DAY INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with DOXORUBICIN, CISPLATIN, CYTARABINE, DEXAMETHASONE, ALLOPURINOL, DOCUSATE. Patient recovered.
