Female patient, 74 years of age, weighting 249.8 lb, was diagnosed with angina pectoris, hypertension and was treated with Ranexa. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cardiac arrest , carotid artery stenosis, cerebrovascular accident, coronary artery disease , pulmonary hypertension , torsade de pointes, ventricular tachycardia. Ranexa dosage: 500 MG, BID, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with DILTIAZEM, HYDRALAZINE, FUROSEMIDE, PROZAC, ASPIRIN, ACTOS, PRAVASTATIN, CARVEDILOL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
