Male patient, child 2 years of age, weighting 26.46 lb, was diagnosed with diarrhoea and was treated with Questran. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal distension, activated partial thromboplastin time prolonged, blood potassium decreased, blood sodium decreased, cardiac arrest
, heart rate increased, international normalised ratio increased, pco2 decreased, sepsis

Male patient, weighting 9.00 lb, was diagnosed with diarrhoea and was treated with Questran. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood potassium increased, blood sodium decreased, dehydration, weight decreased. Questran dosage: 500MG 2 TIMES DAILY PO. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
