Pyrimethamine side effect was reported by a Health Professional from TANZANIA, UNITED REPUBLIC OF on Mar 16, 2009. Female patient was diagnosed with malaria  and was treated with Pyrimethamine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: malaria , respiratory failure. Pyrimethamine dosage: unknown. Patient died.

Female patient was diagnosed with congenital toxoplasmosis and was treated with Pyrimethamine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anaemia, bone marrow failure, choreoathetosis, grand mal convulsion, infection , neutropenia, no therapeutic response, respiratory failure. Pyrimethamine dosage: 1 MG/KG / PER DAY /. During the same period patient was treated with SULFADIAZINE, LEUCOVORIN CALCIUM. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
