Pyrazinamide Side Effects Report #5060097-5
Pyrazinamide side effect was reported by a Health Professional from SPAIN on May 10, 2006. Male patient, 39 years of age, was diagnosed with tuberculosis  and was treated with Pyrazinamide. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: ascites, hepatic atrophy, hepatic encephalopathy, hepatic necrosis, hepatitis , liver transplant , renal failure. Pyrazinamide dosage: 1800 MG/DAY. During the same period patient was treated with ISONIAZID, RIFAMPIN, STREPTOMYCIN, CIPROFLOXACIN, ETHAMBUTOL, TRAMADOL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: ascites, bone tuberculosis, coagulopathy, cytolytic hepatitis, fistula , hepatic atrophy, hepatic encephalopathy, hepatic failure, hepatic necrosis. Pyrazinamide dosage: 1800MG/DAY. During the same period patient was treated with ISONIAZID, RIFAMPIN, STREPTOMYCIN, CIPROFLOXACIN, ETHAMBUTOL, TRAMADOL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 28 years of age, weighting 110.2 lb, was diagnosed with tuberculosis  and was treated with Pyrazinamide. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: ascites, dizziness , encephalopathy, eosinophilia, hepatic necrosis, hepatomegaly, hyperpyrexia, hypoacusis. Pyrazinamide dosage: 1500 MG DAILY. During the same period patient was treated with CIPROFLOXACIN, ISONIOZID, RIFAMPIN, ETHAMBUTOL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
