Protamine side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on June 13, 2006. Male patient, 41 years of age, weighting 27.50 lb, was diagnosed with prothrombin time prolonged and was treated with Protamine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cardio-respiratory arrest. Protamine dosage: 20 MG X1 IV. Patient recovered.

Protamine side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Sept 04, 2007. Male patient, 78 years of age, weighting 170.0 lb, was diagnosed with haemorrhage and was treated with Protamine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cardio-respiratory arrest. Protamine dosage: 25 MG ONE TIME IV. Patient died on 04/03/2007.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood pressure decreased, cardio-respiratory arrest, circulatory collapse, electrocardiogram st segment abnormal. Protamine dosage: (150 MG, ONCE), INTRAVENOUS. Patient died on 01/07/2008.

Protamine dosage: 50 MG X1 IV. During the same period patient was treated with PROTAMINE SULPHATE. Patient was hospitalized and became disabled. Patient recovered.
