Propylthiouracil side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on May 30, 2007. Female patient, 57 years of age, weighting 117.5 lb, was diagnosed with thyrotoxic crisis and was treated with Propylthiouracil. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: asthenia, diarrhoea, dyspnoea, fatigue, leukocytoclastic vasculitis, nausea What is  nausea, neutrophil count decreased, neutrophil percentage decreased, productive cough. Propylthiouracil dosage: unknown. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Female patient, child 12 years of age, was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and was treated with Propylthiouracil. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody positive, band neutrophil percentage increased, blood thyroid stimulating hormone abnormal, blood thyroid stimulating hormone decreased, cachexia, cough, fatigue, haematocrit decreased, haemoglobin decreased. Propylthiouracil dosage: unknown. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
