Female patient, child 7 years of age, was diagnosed with basedow's disease and was treated with Propylthiouracil. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: autoimmune hepatitis, cholestasis, encephalopathy, goitre, hepatic failure, hepatic necrosis, hepatic neoplasm, liver transplant
, liver transplant rejection. Propylthiouracil dosage: 9 MG/KG; QD; PO. During the same period patient was treated with PROPRANOLOL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.Propylthiouracil Side Effects Report #5714095-6

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: acute hepatic failure, brain herniation, coagulopathy, encephalopathy, hepatic fibrosis, hepatic necrosis, hepatitis
, hepatocellular injury. Propylthiouracil dosage: 100 MG TID PO. Patient died on 12/05/2007.
