Propylthiouracil side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from TURKEY on Mar 31, 2006. Female patient, 45 years of age, was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and was treated with Propylthiouracil. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody positive, c-reactive protein increased, disease recurrence, dysphagia, hyperthyroidism, mouth ulceration, pharyngeal ulceration, red blood cell sedimentation rate increased, skin necrosis. Propylthiouracil dosage: 300 MG; QD; PO. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: agranulocytosis, bone marrow failure, chills, cough, dysphagia, enterobacter bacteraemia, erythroid series abnormal, headache What is  headache, hyperthyroidism. Propylthiouracil dosage: 100 MG; TID;. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
