Propylthiouracil side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on May 30, 2007. Female patient, 57 years of age, weighting 117.5 lb, was diagnosed with thyrotoxic crisis and was treated with Propylthiouracil. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: asthenia, diarrhoea, dyspnoea, fatigue, leukocytoclastic vasculitis, nausea , neutrophil count decreased, neutrophil percentage decreased, productive cough. Propylthiouracil dosage: unknown. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain lower, anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibody positive vasculitis, arthralgia, arthritis , body temperature increased, diarrhoea, episcleritis, goitre, malaise. Propylthiouracil dosage: 100 MG; BID. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
