Propylthiouracil side effect was reported by a Physician from CHINA on Jan 03, 2008. Female patient, 22 years of age, was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and was treated with Propylthiouracil. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody positive, body temperature increased, bronchoscopy abnormal, haemoglobin decreased, haemoptysis, vasculitis . Propylthiouracil dosage: 100 MG; QD. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Propylthiouracil side effect was reported by a Physician from SINGAPORE on May 09, 2007. Female patient, 22 years of age, was diagnosed with basedow's disease and was treated with Propylthiouracil. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain lower, anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibody positive vasculitis, arthralgia, arthritis , body temperature increased, diarrhoea, episcleritis, goitre, malaise. Propylthiouracil dosage: 100 MG; BID. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
