Propylthiouracil side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from TURKEY on Feb 11, 2008. Female patient, 43 years of age, was diagnosed with basedow's disease and was treated with Propylthiouracil. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood albumin decreased, blood immunoglobulin e increased, blood ph increased, breath sounds abnormal, eosinophil percentage increased, haemoglobin decreased, neutrophil percentage decreased, no therapeutic response, percussion test abnormal. Propylthiouracil dosage: unknown. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 23 years of age, was diagnosed with basedow's disease and was treated with Propylthiouracil. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: aortic valve incompetence, blood ph increased, blood thyroid stimulating hormone decreased, caesarean section, cardiac murmur, cardiomegaly, chest x-ray abnormal, ejection fraction decreased. Propylthiouracil dosage: 100 MG;TID;PO. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
