Propylthiouracil side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on Apr 08, 2008. Male patient, 79 years of age, was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, prostate cancer  and was treated with Propylthiouracil. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood creatinine increased, febrile neutropenia, mucosal inflammation, oedema. Propylthiouracil dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with TAXOTERE, AMIODARONE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: alanine aminotransferase increased, aortic atherosclerosis, aspartate aminotransferase increased, blood creatinine increased, blood pressure systolic increased, blood urea increased, colitis ischaemic, colonic polyp , diarrhoea. Propylthiouracil dosage: 100 MG 3 TIMES DAILY. During the same period patient was treated with PROPRANOLOL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
