Propylthiouracil side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from UNITED STATES on Feb 06, 2006. Male patient, 60 years of age, weighting 211.7 lb, was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, gastrooesophageal reflux disease and was treated with Propylthiouracil. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: agranulocytosis, neutrophil count decreased, white blood cell count decreased. Propylthiouracil dosage: 100 MG PO TID. During the same period patient was treated with RANITIDINE, FLUOXETINE, PROPRANOLOL, APAP, CLONAZEPAM, HYDROXIDE SUSP, PSYLLIUM. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
