Male patient, 50 years of age, weighting 187.4 lb, was diagnosed with intentional overdose and was treated with Propranolol. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cardiac arrest , cardiovascular insufficiency, carotid pulse decreased, hypotension, intentional overdose, metabolic acidosis, sinus bradycardia, suicide attempt. Propranolol dosage: 1600 MG, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with HYDROCHLORIC ACID, OXAZEPAM. Patient recovered.
