Propofol side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from UNITED STATES on Oct 31, 2005. Male patient, 49 years of age, was diagnosed with sedation and was treated with Propofol. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood creatine phosphokinase increased, cardiac arrest , circulatory collapse, haemodialysis, hepatic failure, lactic acidosis, mitochondrial toxicity, propofol infusion syndrome, renal failure. Propofol dosage: 2.4 MG/KG/HR. During the same period patient was treated with VASOPRESSIN, NOREPINEPHRINE, ZOSYN, VANCOMYCIN, CEFEPIME, DROTRECOGIN ALFA. Patient died on 05/12/2005.
