Promethazine side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from on Feb 23, 2005. Female patient, 65 years of age, weighting 150.0 lb, was diagnosed with vomiting and was treated with Promethazine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: agitation, bradycardia, confusional state, electrocardiogram t wave amplitude increased, hyperkalaemia, hypotension, lethargy. Promethazine dosage: 12.5 MG EVERY 4 H PRN INTRAVENOU. During the same period patient was treated with HALOPERIDOL, HYDROCODONE BITARTRATE, MAGNESIUM, FLUMAZENIL, FOLIC ACID, PROTONIX, SUCRALFATE, IBUPROFEN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
