Prolastin side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from UNITED STATES on Oct 30, 2008. Female patient, 74 years of age, was diagnosed with alpha-1 anti-trypsin deficiency and was treated with Prolastin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood pressure increased, feeling abnormal, heart rate increased. Prolastin dosage: 3288 MG; QW; IV. During the same period patient was treated with PREDNISONE, ZEMAIRA, BENADRYL, TOPROL, SPIRIVA, PROTONIX. Patient recovered.

Male patient, 57 years of age, weighting 268.6 lb, was diagnosed with alpha-1 anti-trypsin deficiency and was treated with Prolastin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: balance disorder, blood pressure increased, cerebrovascular accident, chills, hyperhidrosis, labyrinthitis, migraine , neurological examination abnormal, sedation. Prolastin dosage: 200 MG/KG, Q2WK, INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with ACETAMINOPHEN, ALENDRONATE, ASPIRIN, CALCIUM CARB, CLOBETASOL PROPIONATE, DOCUSATE, FELODIPINE, FLUNISOLIDE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
